In the last decades, cancer clinical trials have significantly increased in Latin America, demonstrating the potential for scientific development in the region. LACOG, a non-profit academic research organization, is dedicated to develop and conduct epidemiological and clinical trials in cancer within its network of investigators in Latin America. To date the group conducted more than 70 studies, including more than 20.000 patients within 16 countries in Latin America and has more than 100 publications. The LACOG Educational project emerged as an initiative to promote cancer education for health professionals in Latin America with the aim to increase the understanding of methods in clinical trials, cancer translational research and scientific advances in cancer. We believe that improving medical education will stimulate investigators to the development of clinical research in Latin America. Our first webinar is already available on the platform.
